A good entry of 2085 Store Lambs forward for sale today at Junction 36, with vendors leaving well satisfied with their returns. A large portion of the lambs in the market being the last consignments for vendors along with large numbers of hill bred lambs.

Top price of the day was achieved by Mule Lambs forward from E&S Bower of Burney End selling for £78, with others from the same home at £67. Texel Lambs selling to £76 from IT Richardson of Goosnargh and £74 from GA Haston & Son of Lane House. Suffolk lambs selling to a top of £75 from J Scott & Co of Middle Birkby Farm, Beltex Lambs to £70 from JE Read of Mealrigg and Charollais’ to £69.50 FE&CM Robinson & Son of Warth Sutton Farm. Hill bred lambs selling to £61 from MB&JE Meredith of High Arnside Farm and Rough Fells to £58 from E&S Bower of Burney End.
