Yet another successful sale was held with over 200 entries and something for everyone from Donkeys and Shetlands right up to a Clydesdale and a Shire.

The sale topped with an extremely smart and showy, 5 year old, blue and white cob gelding. Beautifully presented by G & R Dunn, the ride and drive gelding went on to sell for 4500gns to Ayrshire in Scotland. The same home also sold a 5 year old Blagdon cob mare at 2350gns, an 11 year old cob gelding at 2000gns, and a 2 year old chestnut cob filly at 2050gns.

Watersedgeview Crystal a grey cob mare from T Pepper sold for 2500gns, Jock a 10 year old, quiet to ride cob gelding sold for 2400gns and Prince a smart 4 year skewbald cob x gelding Mr JH Smith of Ayrshire, sold for 3100gns. ES Blue Knight a 6 year old blue roan cob gelding from L Kirkbride sold at 3000gns and Gypsy a 6 year old cob mare from Mr J Pedley sold at 2500gns.

Young cobs topped at 3400gns for a 3 year old brown cob gelding from I Rumney, 2600gns for a 3 year chocolate dun cob gelding from RJ & YL Willison and 2550 gns for Hermits Martini Ice a 3 year old cob filly.

Haizea a 9 year old registered piebald Shetland mare sold for 1000gns.

Sport horses, ponies and hunters topped at 3350gns for a 6yr old piebald Irish gelding, closely followed by Molly’s Choice, a grey Irish hunter mare at 2600gns and a 7 year old bay Irish hunter mare at 2500gns. A smart 14.2hh dun PC/hunter pony from J Jopling went on to sell for 3400gns.

Donkeys from G & R Dunn sold to 800gns for G&R Eeyore a white yearling jenny and 500 for G&R Tigger a grey yearling jenny.

The next horse sales will be the sale of Registered Fell Ponies on behalf of the Fell Pony Society, Registered Shetlands on behalf of the Shetland Pony Stud Book Society and Registered Mountain and Moorland ponies on Saturday 26th October followed by a general sale of all classes of Horses, Ponies and Donkeys on Saturday 16th November 2024.
